Samos Town-
The capital of the island is situated 17km from the international airport on the south coast; Samos town is on the North East coast. Here visitors will find everything they are looking for in their holidays. Accommodation here can suit every purce, from large hotels with swimming pool to small Greek pensions. There are two beaches in Samos town, the small Roditses beach and the more organized Gandou beach, which offers facilities such as umbrellas, showers and beach bar. Shopping in Samos town is also a pleasure, from small gift shops to exclusive boutiques - the choice is endless. The main bus station is situated in Samos town from where it is possible to go just about anywhere on the island.
Excellent news for those who wish to export the island, by local transport, after a few lazy days on the beach. With the wonderful harbour facilities available here it is possible to visit the neighbouring islands of Fourni, Ikaria, Lipsi, Leros and Patmos as well as nearby Turkey.
